A 17 volume publication with over 4500 engravings , including this one of 1800 from Robert Bernard alone. State of the Art Copper Engraving presented at the peak of political questioning of the established power structure had this publication noticed and banned by the Catholic Church and Denis Diderot jailed. The details within the engravings also allow an illiterate person with little to no instruction to learn a trade, previously controlled by Guilds and Cadre's through the exploitation of man power. All challenging the established process of creating wealth and organizing thought through reason verses laws of the Church or central government.
