Some oxidation, staining or discolorations on few, look closely , the vast majority are pristine, crisp clean folios. These early botanical images are by Thomas Sowerby of London and come from a library de-accession . Considered superlatives for their state of the art printing and vetted academic content in their time. They display the finest water coloring , in support of a color template produced for each plant by the publisher and accomplished by very talented piece artist , mainly women.
