Fine 1st edition of this map, created by the former county surveyor, J.N.Lentell following his retirement in 1915. Fine original NOS condition, paper covers on a 22" x 35.5" lithographic map with county outline in orange/yellow border. Fine like new. never used or opened condition. From the estate of John P. Coll , this map comes from our 2018 wholesale purchase of old maps from John P Coll, who in turn had purchased these maps from WS Hutchinson, Linen backers and dealers of folding and wall maps on Army St. in San Francisco since 1907 when they sold out and closed their doors in Nov. 1970 . These maps had been bought by WS Hutchinson from their otiginal distributor, CF Weber, when they sold out and closed their doors in 1919-20 and had been in WS Hutchinson inventory as unbacked maps , New Stock never linen backed and kept in safe archive until needed. Issues of these maps which are from other manufactrerers the this one are complete issues from this purchase that were never intended to be linen backed and as such are not. Condition on these maps is Very Fine, pristine , with a very light acid burn on inside cover panel to the outside, non visible part of the back of the map. New Old Stock (N.O.S.) is a great rarity and we are very happy to have these examples. More Photos Upon Request
